Bertuzzi's overtime winner came on a pinpoint pass from Ilya Mikheyev. The goal was Bertuzzi's fifth career hat trick and his second of the season. Arvid Soderblom made 13 saves for Chicago (17-18-7). The Blackhawks have now won four of their last six games.
For Vegas (17-11-12), the loss extended their losing streak to six games. Akira Schmid stopped 17 shots in the defeat. Mark Stone and Brandon Saad scored for the Golden Knights.
First Period
Brandon Saad gave Vegas a 1-0 lead at 9:20 of the first period with a wrist shot. Brett Howden and Alexander Holtz assisted on the goal.
Chicago responded at 7:22 when Tyler Bertuzzi tied the game 1-1 with a wrist shot. Alex Vlasic and Andre Burakovsky assisted on the play. Burakovsky recorded an assist in his third straight game.
Second Period

Jeremy Lauzon was assessed a delay of game penalty at 10:05 of the second period. Chicago was unable to convert on the power play.
Third Period
Tyler Bertuzzi tied the game 2-2 at 11:36 of the third period with a wrist shot from the right crease. Ryan Greene and Andre Burakovsky assisted on the goal.
Akira Schmid made critical saves on Artyom Levshunov and Ryan Greene late in the third period to keep the game tied and force overtime.
Jaycob Megna was called for hooking at 6:25 of the third period. Chicago killed off the penalty.
Vegas managed only two shots on goal after Bertuzzi's tying goal, unable to generate sustained offensive pressure in the final minutes of regulation.
Overtime
Ilya Mikheyev set up Bertuzzi with a pinpoint pass at 1:18 of overtime. Bertuzzi directed the puck past Schmid to complete his hat trick and secure the victory for Chicago. Artyom Levshunov also assisted on the game-winning goal.

Tyler Bertuzzi finished with three goals on five shots on goal. The hat trick was his second of the 2025-26 season and fifth of his NHL career.
Andre Burakovsky recorded two assists, extending his assist streak to three consecutive games. He now has an assist in each of Chicago's last three victories.
