The Chicago Bulls fell to the Detroit Pistons 108-93 on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena, dropping their third consecutive game as the Pistons won their fourth of five despite missing multiple starters.
Isaiah Stewart scored a career-high 31 points to pace Detroit, surpassing his previous best of 26 against Memphis earlier this season. Two-way player Daniss Jenkins added six rebounds and a career-high 15 assists as the Pistons improved to 28-9 on the season.
Ayo Dosunmu led Chicago with 24 points. Nikola Vucevic contributed 20 points and 16 rebounds, while Matas Buzelis also scored 20 points. The Bulls fell to 17-20 overall and 7-11 on the road.
Short-Handed Pistons Dominate
Detroit played without All-Star Cade Cunningham (wrist) and fellow starters Tobias Harris (hip) and Jalen Duren (ankle), but Stewart and the Pistons bench stepped up. Stewart scored 11 points in the first quarter alone, helping Detroit build a 30-24 lead after one period.
The game remained close throughout the first three quarters, with Chicago holding a 77-76 advantage heading into the fourth. Detroit then opened the final period with a 7-0 run to take control at 83-77.
Fourth Quarter Collapse
The Bulls struggled to find any offensive rhythm in the decisive quarter. Chicago missed 12 of their first 16 shots, including eight of 10 three-pointers, while committing three turnovers during the critical stretch.
Detroit dominated in the paint during the fourth quarter, outscoring Chicago 14-4 down low. The Pistons built their lead to 101-87 with two minutes remaining and cruised to the finish.
Highlight Reel Plays
Despite the loss, the Bulls produced two spectacular alley-oop dunks from Matas Buzelis off passes from Tre Jones that drew attention on social media.
Looking Ahead
The loss extended Chicago's road woes and marked their third straight defeat overall. The Bulls continue to struggle without key guards Josh Giddey and Coby White, who have been sidelined with injuries.
Detroit's victory marked their fourth win in five games despite significant lineup challenges. The Pistons improved to 15-3 at home this season.
